CONDITIONS
Nose, Eye, Sinus, Chest, and Skin Allergies
Common signs include red, itchy eyes, nasal congestion, headaches, pain, tenderness, swelling, and pressure around the forehead, cheeks, nose, and between the eyes.
Recurrent or Persistent Cough
Symptoms may include a runny or stuffy nose, postnasal drip, frequent throat clearing, sore throat, hoarseness, wheezing, shortness of breath, heartburn, or a sour taste in the mouth.
Asthma and Hyperactive Airways
Patients may experience shortness of breath, chest tightness or pain, trouble sleeping caused by coughing or wheezing, and a whistling or wheezing sound when exhaling.
Laryngeal Edema
Characterized by swelling in the throat and chest, lung congestion, and difficulty breathing.
Asphyxia
Blocked breathing that can be potentially fatal.
Hypotension
Low blood pressure that can lead to shock and possible loss of consciousness.
Skin Allergies (Eczema, Hives, Angioedema)
Symptoms include swelling of blood vessels, feelings of oppression, or impending doom.
Allergic Rhinitis and Rhinosinusitis
Symptoms include a stuffy or runny nose.
Urticaria
Raised, itchy skin wheals.
Erythema
Reddening of the skin.
Pruritis
Intense itching, especially in the hands, feet, and groin.
Food and Gastrointestinal Allergies
Symptoms include bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach pain.
Other Allergic Symptoms
Includes sneezing, itchy eyes, itching in the nose and mouth, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and uterine contractions.
